CWG Choices latest product updates

CWG Choices has spent considerable time re-evaluating it's product range, and in interests of keeping up to date will be making the following changes.

These product upgrades suit the CWG choices range – Rehau 70mm, Tritec, Kommerling Connoisseur and 70mm Shield.

All orders delivered on or after the 16th October 2006 will contain the following products (if applicable):
Window Locks
The existing espagnolette and shootbolt locking ranges that we currently use will be replaced by the Kenrick Easifit, These locks have been tested to exceed BS7950 high security requirements. They have a patented claw locking mechanism which provides a secure engagement with a substantial die cast keep. Additional security and weather performance is added by mushroom cams which travel in opposite directions. The sash can also be fastened in the night vent position to allow air into the property. At launch the are a yellow finish and by year end will be silver chromate.

Additional hinge side security can be obtained by requesting the 'vector excluder' and we recommend the 'Boa Restrictor' be used for application where child safety is precedent.

Door Locks
	All CWG Choices residential and French doors will now be fitted with the insurance approved Yale Multilock. The Yale Multilock has a very smooth locking operation, stainless steel face plates and six locking points. Both the top and bottom hook bolts operate in a reverse action stopping the door from being 'lifted' out of the face plate. A third hook bolt locks in securely at the centre of the locking mechanism. The Yale Multilock features a set of two adjustable rollers which provide a tight weatherseal against the elements and can easily be changed from a Lever/Lever handle set to a Lever/Pad handle set or vice versa without having to remove the entire locking mechanism.

As standard on our French doors the 'slave' leaf will now have handle operated shootbolts, The 'master' door leaf will have the Yale Multilock as standard with a shootbolt available as an optional extra.

Window Hinges
We are now sourcing all our window hinges from the well known Cotswold Range. Cotswolds new EZ easi-clean range of egress stays are a high quality product with a simpler operation and smoother action. Conforming to all current British Building Standards and FENSA requirements. The new EZ range allows the window to be opened to a full 90º, and providing the opening is large enough will fulfil the new part 'B' regulations, ensuring emergency access in the event of a fire. A simple mechanism also allows the window to smoothly slide along the track to be cleaned from inside the property.

Door Hinges
	The existing Conqueror door hinge has been upgraded and will now incorporate a height adjustment of +/-2mm and will be available in a white or brown colour option. The Inspiration hinge will be replaced by the Haven 3DL Hinge. The Haven 3DL hinge is a high security anti-lift flag hinge with 3 dimensional adjustment. It has an all metal cover which is fixed from inside to prevent tampering and makes it suitable for both open in or open out doors. The hinge is available in White, Brown, Bright Chrome and Hardex Gold.

Colordor
Colordors doors are made using a layered timber core that is then protected by an ABS skin that protects the doors from weathering. This ABS skin is colour through and has a timber-style finish so that the doors can have the quality of the timber core and the advanced protection that ABS can provide whilst still looking like solid timber. A new cassette design means that there are no more unsightly screw hole covers and they have been replaced with a specially designed hidden connector within the cassette. The hinges have been re-designed to allow a better plaster reveal clearance.
